It is our goal to be involved in the development of Hughesville in the responsible manner laid out in the Hughesville Revitalization Plan.We cannot let the by-pass change the rural nature of our community.The county is using the by-pass as an excuse to turn Hughesville into the next great suburban development.REVITALIZE....NOT REZONE
Mission Statement
The mission of Preserve Hughesville is to advocate the continued agrarian quality of life in our community by promoting sound economic development that respects and reflects the desires of the local residents.
We oppose development that is contrary to “Smart Growth” in Hughesville and the surrounding area without proper public debate and acceptance by the citizens who are affected by the development.

Join Preserve Hughesville and become an active, or not so active, participant in planning the future of your community. We need folks to actively attend meetings, hearings and lobby politicians. We also need folks who can write letters, send emails, put signs in their yards, wear "T" shirts and support us by phone calling non-email members. It is your quality of life which we are defending.
